Food Law Internet Project

Objective: To provide summary information on the internet of national food control systems.

Background:

These pages were originally set up in 2000 to try and provide access to information on the food law situation in different countries. The task was ambitious and beyond the limited resources available. Information on some countries was obtained and incorporated but only to a limited extent..

Now, in 2006, a new attempt is being made to provde helpful information. Since 2000, there has been a vast increase in available information but finding the most useful and relevant information can be a problem. We believe that there is still a role for this project and work is underway to see how we can help provide useful information to those who need it. Our initial focus is on countries in the Codex Alimentarius Africa Region and these are being updated with the help of an MSc student. Other pages will be updated as time permits
